Roaring into the wind

It’s been a funny old week; heralded in by a storm pulling half the guttering off the front of the house which woke us up at 4am, and see-sawed its way into a migraine-filled, dehydrated, wakeful dawn.  Heralded out by winds and rain and my longest ever long run… The migraine knocked my training out….

Slump and slide

I’m in a bit of a slump.  My marathon training starts on 28th December, and until then I’m just running.  I’ve never done ‘just running’ before.  I ran on Tuesday morning; a local route down the nearest main road, round town and back again.  It’s downhill all the way out and uphill all the way…
